Since 1928, Miller Industrial has been your one stop shop for a variety of industrial hardware products and Super Hero customer service. Categories they offer include paint, tools, fasteners, hardware, electrical, plumbing, cleaning supplies, Stihl power equipment and much more.

"We conducted a survey of our customers when we were determining our new marketing strategy, and the super-hero theme kept coming up," says Jeff Miller, president of Miller Industrial. "Our customers kept saying that we 'save' them daily by solving a tough problem for them, or making 'heroic' rescues during emergencies. That's one of the things that really makes our company unique, the care we devote to our customers and the relationships we develop with them."

That customer-first mentality is one of the primary traits Miller Industrial looks for in its "team members" which now comprise 27 people with an average tenure of over 10 years. "We hire people who really understand the concept of the customer coming first and have a positive attitude in making it a reality," Miller says.

Another distinguishing characteristic of Miller Industrial is its Miller On Site service, in which it manages its customers' inventory of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies at their facility. Miller says "our customers consider us an unpaid employee for them which in today's economy is a big benefit!"

Miller Industrial also prides itself on its hybrid business model. "We're a cross between a retail store that customers walk into to touch and feel the merchandise and a classic industrial supplier for maintenance and facility managers," Miller explains. Their customer base is comprised of professionals from businesses and institutions of all sizes, including: Manufacturing, Distribution, Property Management, Transportation and Airline Industry, Hotels and Restaurants, Government and Institutions, Contractors and other business types.

Miller, his wife Michelle and his sister, Sally Miller-Schumann director of sales and marketing, along with their Leadership Team help guide the company. They comprise the third generation of family ownership of the company that was originally started as Vincennes Hardware by their grandfather Sam Miller in 1928. Their father Bob expanded to Elk Grove Village in 1969 as an Ace Hardware and built their current Industrial location in 1991 which was expanded in 2007.
