In an economy and industry in which consolidation has become the norm, the team at Chicago-based Darwin Realty and Development Corporation continues to pride themselves on the company's independence and their exemplary service to their clients. "The owners here are hands on. They're here. We can walk in their offices and get their guidance, " says Vice President and General Manager Eileen Ross. Real estate is a local business. "We don't have to call New York or California."

Industrial real estate brokerage and management is a relationship business. Darwin has been developing and managing commercial real estate in the Chicago area since 1975. Today, we are one of the largest firms of its kind in the region. Our commercial/industrial services include everything from leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, property and asset management as well as receivership services.

Darwin team members have an average of 15 years' experience in aligning our clients' commercial real estate needs. Each of our brokers specializes in a geographic area, becoming experts in those communities.

Since he joined Darwin in 1988, President, Richard Daly, has focused on the Elk Grove/O'Hare area, developing an extensive network of relationships that benefit Darwin's clients. Rick has orchestrated more than $488 million in deals that involved approximately 320 real estate transactions totaling approximately 20,500,000 square feet.

For the past 22 years, Daly has represented clients on all sides of real estate transactions - tenants and landlords, building and land sales, development, and he has worked with lenders of troubled and distressed properties involving bankruptcies and foreclosure proceedings.

Like the other principals at Darwin, Daly is very hands on. In addition to supervising support staff and monitoring brokerage assignments, Daly also serves as the general partner for various investment projects.

Daly is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers, Board member of GOA Regional Business Association, Greater O'Hare Networking Executives, the Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors and the Warehousing Education and Research Council.
